The other best reason to do blogging is to earn some money on the side, and clearly, what I love the most about it is the PR packages!! So, the very first step is to choose a blogging platform. Usually, people go for the very famous WordPress, and this is the platform that I will also vote for. It is one of the massive platforms that help you in the long run.
It has numerous plugins and add-ons that allow you to design the layout of your blog. It is easy to set up and free to use, with many free themes and layouts.
However there are other available platforms, but this one is hands down the best.
Then comes another huge decision you need to make: whether you pay for your blog or want to use a free one.
WordPress, Tumblr, and Blogger usually offer free blogs. But it works for those who are not serious about blogging and want to pursue it for the short term only.
If you want a free platform, remember it won't have your domain name. Moreover, you will have to rely on an ugly domain name, such as;

Secondly, there are some limits to free blogs. So, you can't fully monetize it, and you probably won't have the don't have the opportunity to upload all the videos and images you want.
Thirdly, you won't be owning your blog at all. I know it might sound stupid, but the free blogs are hosted on someone else's web property and can be deleted if they want to.
After all the hassle and the smart choices, begin the real fun!!

The smart choice is to give your blog a professional look and customize it accordingly. WordPress has an awesome feature that allows you to change themes easily.
But always remember that your blog should represent you and your personality, and it should be designed keeping that in mind!!
