Are Polygel Manicures Safe for Your Nails? If applied and removed properly, Polygel manicures are perfectly safe for your nails. In fact, Polygel can be considered safer than other nail enhancements—like acrylics—as no chemicals are released into the air during application.
Cure it using an LED lamp for 3 minutes and pop-off! Step 3: File the nail to whatever shape you prefer (btw, polygel is super easy to file!) and finish off with a glossy or matte top coat and you've now got super baddie long nails.
Just put a little acetone on the pad and wrap around nail/finger, wait a few minutes and the gel polish comes right off, and work with our double-use scraper to remove will be better.
Too much or too wet polygel will cause it to pop off. Polygel that is not completely dry will cause it to lift around the edges first.
When the layer is super thick LED-light can not go through the product and it will stay soft in the middle. Such a nail can easily break.
However, these PolyGel nail kits are great in quality and a good choice for beginners, especially for young customers or people who want to try PolyGel out without having to spend a lot of money on it.
Another reason why we love Polygel nails is that it doesn't ruin or damage your nails. With the proper application and removal, there's no need to worry about harming your natural nails. To remove them, your nail tech will file the Polygel from your nails to remove the bulk of it.
You can absolutely use either gel or traditional polish over top of PolyGel.

The polygel itself is super soft, not very sticky and easy to maneuver. No need for a lot of slip solution. I recommend doing maybe 2 nails at a time, because in my experience the gel will settle into your cuticles if not cured right away.
